Real Stories of Redemption

Lives changed by God's faithfulness.

We're honored to serve South Sudan's most vulnerable children, and humbled by the trust they've placed in the Lord through it all. Below, three boys from the Redeemed Children's Home share, in their own words, how God has transformed their stories.

"I'm deeply grateful to the Street Children Ministry team for rescuing me from homelessness. Without their help, I wouldn't be alive today. When SCM found me on the street, I was critically ill. I'm profoundly thankful to God for saving my life."

"Right now, my goal is to finish eighth grade and move on to high school. After that, I want to become a pastor and teacher — sharing God's word with young people and guiding them, just as Uncle William guided me. I trust God will help me one day lead my own family according to His principles."

"Street Children Ministry saved my life. Before SCM, I was on the streets drinking alcohol and using glue and other drugs. If I'd stayed there, my mind would have completely broken down by now."

"Coming to the Redeemed Children's Home changed everything. I'm now in school, and I can read and write on my own. I'm trusting God for my future — I want to become a missionary pilot, so I can help carry the gospel to people who haven't heard it yet."

Every gift and every prayer brings another child closer to a home, an education, and the hope of the gospel.
